SOFIA REIS
COLON HYDROTHERAPIST
Sofia is registered Colon Hydrotherapist and a member of I-Act. She worked for seven years with a team of naturopathic physicians, chiropractors, therapists, clinical counsellors, and lab technicians. In 2011, Sofia decided to start her own colonics practice and designs individualized body and/or colon cleanses. In addition to her own clinic in Fort Langley, she maintains a practice here at Red Cedar Health Naturopathic Clinic and works in partnership with Dr. Fernyhough and many other referring Naturopathic Doctors.
Sofia’s journey into the world of health and wellness started many years ago when her Father was caught in an avalanche and suffered traumatic brain and spinal injury resulting in him becoming a quadriplegic confined to a wheelchair. Her Dad came out of a seven week deep coma and the doctors’ declared that he would remain in a vegetative state. Sofia refused to accept the traditional doctors’ diagnosis, abandoned her Human Resources and Work Psychology career, and set out to explore all alternative wellness options available around the world.
Sofia practices natural preparation for colonoscopy and was invited to Brazil to teach nurses at a colon and rectal surgery clinic how to do colon hydrotherapy for patients undergoing a colonoscopy or colon and/or surgery. Also, she provided one on one and group training to doctors and nurses in Panama and the Philippines.
Sofia is a strong believer in holistic and natural healthcare and as is a proponent of a healthy organic diet. Her passion, knowledge and commitment to learning more about health and wellness keeps her very busy and she is focused on expanding her knowledge in detoxification, diet and emotional well-being.
